Silky skin
Touched the rough chapped one
my newborn

I have written this for the weekly Haiku prompt by Ronovanwrites.
Every week we get two words which we need to use in our haiku. You can read Haiku written by others in the comment section of this link

Haiku: Sweet Scent Take3

-->
Cuddling his used shirt
Awakened into sweet dreams
She dozed on his scent

This happened to be a 5-7-5 syllable Haiku. I am still learning various forms and enjoying it. The best thing i like about haiku is, you tend to say so much in so less words :)

Wafted through the room

Ants! Alert!

 WORD COUNT 100
Behind that glass-pane we will find a ten-pound note kids”. The two girls leaned forward.

“Grandpa, it’s old and barbed! You sure?”

“Yes, Dolly! My prediction has always been right. It will be an adventure. Come!”
.

.
Grandpa wondered, “Yet again I was right. First five times, just to amuse kids, I placed things and acted. But last ten times, it’s there by magic. It can’t be coincidence.” He felt a mix of excitement and fear.

“Why do you support his whims Dolly?! I saw you placing the note.”

“Does he exercise if not for this gimmick Ann? Lets utilize it”.

This story is a part of the Friday Fictioneers Photo Prompt Flash fiction challenge. Every Friday, a photo prompt is provided by the organizer Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. The participants have to come up with a 100 word story. You can check out the other entries here.
